Born and raised in Southern California, Josie Eilertsen graduated from Hampshire College in
May 2018 with Five College Architecture Major and Sustainability Certificate. At Hampshire
she studied sustainable buildings and informal education specifically at the R. W. Kern Center,
the 17th Living Building. She also recently finished building a tiny house with Yestermorrow’s
Semester in Sustainable Design Build program in Vermont.
